Like it or not, the folks in Washington D.C. had best soon realize that States Rights trump all else, and the Central Government has only those very few limited and enumerated powers that the Constitution grants. Representative Metcalfe's House Bill 357 may not sit well with some who favor a Nanny State and really Big Government. We think that House Bill 357 is a giant step in the right direction. Here's more from Representative Metcalfe's office:

Metcalfe Refutes Senator’s Nullification Nonsense
HARRISBURG — The following excerpts are taken from a letter sent today byHouse Republican Majority State Government Committee Chairman,State Representative Daryl Metcalfe (R-Butler), in response to a letter sent by State Senator Anthony Williams (D-Philadelphia), which opposes individual states’ rights to nullify unconstitutional federal laws and, more specifically, Metcalfe’s Right to Bear Arms Protection Act (House Bill 357).
“Throughout our time in elected office, we have sworn to uphold and defend the same Constitutions: the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the Constitution of the United States of America. Our position as state legislators uniquely situates us to enact policies that strive to balance the scales of the enumerated powers established within both Constitutions.
“America’s history proves that the states created the federal government and the United States Constitution; not the other way around. Therefore, as state legislators, we have the responsibility to hold our federal government accountable by fully exerting our 10th Amendment rights whenever necessary.
“The origins of ‘nullification’ ultimately dates back to the drafting the Declaration of Independence

So, what else is new? He has already ignored the Arms Export Control Act of 1976 (See Fast and Furious), and now, emboldened by Obama's "executive privilege" he says he'll ignore States Rights. Surprised? You shouldn't be. Here's the article from Jews For the Preservation of Firearms Ownership. As you read it, continue to say to yourself "Never Again", and remember what happened in Hitler's Third Reich. If you need yet another reason to be a champion for Pennsylvania HB 357 (Metcalfe-R-Armstrong County), this should do it for you.
Eric Holder says Feds Will IgnoreState Laws and Enforce Gun Grab

by Joe Wolverton, May 3rd, 2013. For Spread Liberty News.
Article source.
Attorney General Eric Holder has written to Kansas Governor Sam Brownback[1], informing him that the Obama administration considers state attempts to protect the Second Amendment "unconstitutional" and that federal agents will "continue to execute their duties," regardless of state statutes to the contrary.
The letter, dated April 26, specifically references a Kansas statute recently signed into law by Brownback[2] that criminalizes any attempt by federal officers or agents to infringe upon the Second Amendment rights of citizens of the Sunflower State. Section 7 of the new law declares:
It is unlawful for any official, agent or employee of the government of the United States, or employee of a corporation providing services to the government of the United States to enforce or attempt to enforce any act, law, treaty, order, rule or regulation of the government of the United States regarding a firearm, a firearm accessory, or ammunition that is manufactured commercially or privately and owned in the state of Kansas and that remains within the borders of Kansas. Violation of this section is a severity level 10 nonperson felony.
